This bedroom was designed as a cozy yet stylish Airbnb retreat — a space that would instantly feel welcoming to short-term guests while still being versatile and timeless for the homeowner. The goal was to infuse a boho-inspired vibe with light, natural tones and subtle design details that make the room stand out without overwhelming.
Since this was intended for Airbnb use, the design needed to be both aesthetically appealing in photos (to attract bookings) and practical in reality (comfortable, easy to maintain, and guest-friendly). The room also had limited natural character, so personality and depth had to be created through smart layering and accents.
We introduced dual wall-mounted long mirrors on each side of the bed’s end wall, instantly adding dimension and symmetry while also serving Airbnb guests who appreciate functional mirrors. A mirror-based wall clock on the window wall further tied the reflective accents together, while blending seamlessly with the boho theme.
The bedside cone lights were a standout feature: sleek black-and-gold fixtures that are wireless and remote-operated, with adjustable brightness levels and three color temperatures. This not only added elegance but also saved the client from having to do costly electrical rewiring — a practical yet stylish solution.
